Fitness equipment FAQs

Why is being physically fit so important?
The obvious answer is that it being physically fit allows your body to do all of the things that it needs to do such as fight off sicknesses and simply perform daily duties with few problems. But, the other part to this answer is that the better you feel in your body, the better your mental health is. There is a definite connection between physical and mental health and whenever at least one is present, it is rare that the other is ever too far behind.

What are a couple of good fitness tips I can use that I may not know?
Exercising early says more about you than the simple fact that you might be a morning person. Those who have ever visited the gym before work in the morning can attest to the fact that the gym can be quite full. Maybe even more full than I is in the afternoon and evening.
Studies have shown that those who go to the gym in the morning are much more likely to stick to their training regiment than those who try to work out in the evenings. The reason is simple: there are too many excuses that you can use as the day goes on. Approximately 75 percent of people who exercise on a regular basis in the morning continue to do so throughout the year.

What can I use if I want a cardiovascular workout, but don’t want to put any undue pressure on my legs and back?
It’s a fact that some people have so many foot, knee and back problems that they are unable to use treadmills, regardless of what their cardiovascular health is. Often, these people instead choose to use elliptical machines. These machines are definitely useful because they can give the user a workout that us just as solid as he would receive on a treadmill, but the gliding motion makes it easier for the elliptical user to keep from damaging his legs, back or neck.
