If you are concerned about keeping a high level of health and fitness, gyms and fitness clubs are great places to start. In fact, if you want to improve your fitness level, there are a few places that you might be able to do so. Each place has its advantages as well as its disadvantages. Here are some ideas for you:

• The gym – This is the place most people think of when they consider trying to get into better shape. The advantage of trying to improve your health and fitness at a gym is that they have a lot of different equipment that will allow you to focus on a lot of different areas of your body. For example, you can run on a treadmill one day, use the elliptical machine the next, take a spinning class the day after that and then hit the weights toward the end of the week.
A disadvantage can be that the gyms may cost more than you would like to pay. If you work for a large corporation, check with your employer to see if it pays any health club costs as part of the benefits package. This is not unheard of…

• Health food store – Some people like to go work out at the gym and then swing by the health food store on the way home. These stores are great for giving you the tools you need to succeed, but exercise is still very important. These stores include a lot of vitamins and natural foods and supplements. Natural foods make it easier for your body to operate at optimal levels.

• Home – This is the place where your trip to the health food store and your trip to the gym come together. If there is real commitment, you will change the way your cabinets and fridge look and make sure you are doing everything you can to promote health and fitness in your family.

And remember, exersise doesnt have to be torturous or boring. Do activities that you love. Walk, skateboard , ski..whatever gets you going!
