Physical fitness
Physical fitness is something that seems so elusive to many people.
But the fact of the matter is that it only takes a little bit of desire
and will power to go from being unhealthy to being one of the fitness
nuts despised for their relentless workout schedules.
If you are looking at yourself and your life and thinking that you
would love to be healthy, but do not think that you can, here are some
items to remember about achieving good physical fitness:
• Yes you can – If you have friends and neighbors in good
physical shape, why can’t you be? Of course you can think of a
hundred different reasons why, but these are all just excuses. The There
is nothing different between you and a healthy person except for their
desire and commitment to be healthy. If you want it, you can do it.
• It’s a marathon, not a sprint – Even though we love
to see immediate results, it can take a good bit of time to reach all
of your desired goals. You should do your best to make sure your goals
are met by making smaller sub-goals. These sub-goals are more attainable
and can help you on your path toward the major goals.
• Don’t do it alone – Can you do it alone? Yes. Should
you do it alone? Not if you can avoid it. It is always good to do something
like this with a family member or friend who is trying to reach the
same physical fitness goals. You can support one another and help one
another do what is best and be happy with yourself for doing it.
Remember, physical fitness has as much to do with your state of mind
as it does with your waistline. What you want to accomplish with fitness
is never so important as WHY you want to accomplish these things.
